Pat Martino Licks

Not only is Pat Martino known for his Burnin' jazz chops, but also during his career he underwent brain surgery due to a fatal brain aneurysm. As a result of the surgery, he experienced amnesia and did not remember how to play guitar. However, with the help of friends and by listening to his CD's he was able to relearn playing the guitar and make a come back. The first album released after his surgery was entitled, The Return. His book Linear Expressions further explores his technique. I hope you enjoy these Pat Martino licks.
